ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Coordinates repairs and preventative maintenance for facility related equipment
  • Manage minor and major facility projects between employees, vendors, building owners, and management.
  • Coordinates inspections for all facility related items such as monthly pest control inspections, safety equipment and emergency lighting annual inspections.
  • Perform tasks such as writing requests for capital expenditure, change requests, scope documents, etc. manage capital projects.
  • Manages cleaning vendors to keep building, labs, and cleanrooms to highest standards
  • Manages security access control systems, fob access, security cameras and area access rights
  • Manages space usage and space planning for cubes, offices, and workspace usage.
  • Manages purchasing and stocking of break room, office supplies, and furniture.
  • Monitors and maintains fixed asset number list.
  • Work with building engineers to resolve utility issues.
  • Manages onboarding/offboarding of Fobs, ID Badges, and office set up.
  • Responds to alarms and emergencies and contacts the appropriate level of management and follow through on agreed response.
  • Researches and negotiates contracts with vendors for cost reduction and service improvement.
  • Assists the Quality programs, validation, calibration, safety, sustainability, and continuous improvement.
  • Building and maintaining of annual facilities budgets.
  • Serve as first line of escalation for facilities related issues.

PREPARATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Facility Management, or Business Administration.
  • 5+ years’ experience in engineering/ project management or advanced education to achieve level of skill.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with employees, managers and executive management.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal required.
  • Working knowledge and experience using Microsoft Office programs
  • Working knowledge of calibration and facility maintenance software.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY:

None

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Ability to respond 24 hours 7 days a week to emergency situations onsite, work with building personnel report to Managers and/or Executive management and resolve plans to emergencies, weather and communication.
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs
  • Ability to move heavy items, climb ladders and perform installation of small to larger items.
