Procurement Manager develops sourcing strategies, value optimization and strong supplier relationships. The Procurement Manager uses purchasing & planning expertise and negotiation skills to develop relationships with suppliers to support RMB’s inventory and cost objectives. The Procurement Manager provides leadership, guidance, and motivation to their staff.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Develops sourcing strategies with key business partners to ensure the achievement of business requirements.
  • Monitors supplier performance to ensure on-time delivery, meet quality specifications, maintain cost targets, and ensure discrepant materials are swiftly reconciled.
  • Develops and negotiates contracts with strategic suppliers
  • Actively manages supply chain risk through business continuity planning activities, including mitigation & planning with suppliers
  • Accountable for achieving RMB’s financial and value optimization targets.
  • Monitors all sourcing projects and reports on the status of savings and implementation dates
  • Leads meetings with both staff and cross functional teams to ensure assignments, objectives, cost savings and deliverables are met
  • Actively manages inventory levels to balance risk mitigation & cash flow.
  • Reviews slow moving/obsolete inventory; minimizes risk of excess & obsolete materials
  • Supports new product development sourcing activities to support on-time & on-budget product launches
  • Ensures all Suppliers have received and agree to comply with our Ethical Sourcing and quality policies
  • Ensures assigned service suppliers are meeting agreed upon service requirements per contract
  • Other duties as assigned.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Supply Chain, Finance or related field from accredited university.
  • Minimum of 4 years’ experience with MRP-ERP business systems. Full working knowledge of supply chain systems with implementation experience. Full knowledge of Microsoft Office.  
  • Minimum 4 years of sourcing experience.
  • Experience with global sourcing
  • Experience working in regulated environments/industries
  • Must have outstanding leadership, verbal and written communication skills.
  • Accredited certification, CPM, APICS/ASCM preferred.
  • LEAN and/or Six Sigma experience a plus
